Nokeima Jones
Nokeima Jones, founding member of the Jersey City Women’s Advisory Board, is a lifelong resident of Jersey City. Nokeima is a proud graduate of P.S.#30 and Henry Snyder High School. She continued her education at William Paterson University where she graduated with a degree in Accounting. She went on to obtain her master’s degree in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University. Professionally, Nokeima has worked in the accounting field for over 20 years.
Nokeima is a wife and mother of two athletic kids that keeps her engaged in local activities. She is also an active member of the Hudson County chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Through service-based community programs organized and executed through her sorority chapter, Nokeima has been committed to giving back to her hometown of Jersey City.
From her experience growing up in Jersey City and now raising children in the city, Nokeima’s commitment to strengthening families and empowering women is paramount. Being a person that has witnessed the significant changes in Jersey City, she is honored to serve as a member of a groundbreaking, Jersey City Women’s Advisory Board. She believes the diverse backgrounds and expertise each member brings to the table will continue to chip at the glass ceiling for women in Jersey City.
